The garden where we let nature do its work

Kamenačky
The model wild garden of the Kamenačky Natural Sciences Station frames the main building with greenery and flowers. It contains a tropical greenhouse, a brook with the biotope of a pond (in which green and common toads, smooth newts and many species of insect live), flower beds for butterflies and a small yard with rabbits and a pig. The buildings contain an education centre – a facility with animals (principally reptiles and amphibians, the largest of which inhabit the vegetation of the tropical greenhouse). As this facility is small, it serves above all as a space for teaching and special-interest groups; it accepts groups of visitors by appointment only. It is open to the public without appointments three times a year.
