The Smrk [Spruce] civic association is concerned with protection of the environment, matters of sustainability, and issues of urban landscaping and ecology education. In 2004, it established its natural public garden on rented urban land next to a park, which serves to support its function for the whole community. The garden is a holder of a Model Wild Garden certificate.
