The exhibition is dedicated to the art of landscaping. Developments in the landscape of the Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape – from the Ice Age and the first settlements all the way up to the present day – are shown on a spatial model in a number of animations. The exhibition contains many photographs, maps and models detailing the influence of particular aspects of global development on the shaping of the local landscape, most notably as carried out by the Liechtenstein family. See how the chateau and park at Lednice have changed – from a relatively small Baroque villa with an Italian-style garden with water features to today’s magnificent English park with its many small buildings and pavilions.
