In September 2016, the project “GrünRaum” was launched as part of the INTERREG V-A Austria-Czech Republic programme. The project aims to exploit growing interest in garden tourism and the immense potentiality of the natural and cultural wealth of gardens and other green spaces in southern Moravia, Vysočina [the ‘Highlands’ Region of the Czech Republic] and Lower Austria. Project partners are the Tourist Authority of South Moravia, Die Gärten Niederösterreichs and the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems; Vysočina Tourism and Niederösterreich Werbung are strategic partners. Further, the project aims to promote the sustainable development of cross-border tourism.
