	Lu and Tiree Chmelar Herb Garden SOUTH MORAVIA The herb garden in Valtice originated in 2004. The project was the brainchild of Tiree and Lubomír Chmelar, a married couple from the USA who have long supported and promoted the Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape abroad and secured funding for the garden from US foundations. Designed by students at the Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice, the garden was given a ceremonial opening in 2010. 	Medicinal Herbs Centre of MF MU SOUTH MORAVIA The Medicinal Herbs Centre cultivates and maintains the largest collection of medicinal herbs in the Czech Republic. Its garden supplements its selection with over 800 plants with highly-valued dietary properties, plus aromatic, culinary, tonic and toxic species. The garden’s main function is as a teaching facility for students and scientists at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University, whom it provides with material for research work. It also serves for educational purposes at all levels, public education and relaxation for visitors

	Gardens of St Hildegard – SONNENTOR SOUTH MORAVIA We took our inspiration from the abbess Hildegard, a leading light of the late Middle Ages who had visionary views on how to lead a healthy life. The Gardens of St Hildegard are divided into a number of interesting parts – an aromatherapy garden, an ornamental zone for relaxation and a children’s educational area. In the aromatherapy garden and the ornamental zone for relaxation, you can enjoy a wide range of herbs and ornamental plants as you walk through the garden or sit on a shaded bench on our wheelchair-access terrace.
