Tugendhat Villa

SOUTH MORAVIA

The Tugendhat Villa is a building of exceptional architectural and artistic value, and its garden is an integral part of it. The garden does more than form a remarkable natural setting for the building – it is part of a single, unique complex of interior and exterior connections. At the time of its origination, the garden of the Tugendhat Villa formed a single territorial (not architectural) unit with the garden of the Löw-Beer Villa. Gardens of St Hildegard – SONNENTOR

SOUTH MORAVIA

We took our inspiration from the abbess Hildegard, a leading light of the late Middle Ages who had visionary views on how to lead a healthy life. The Gardens of St Hildegard are divided into a number of interesting parts – an aromatherapy garden, an ornamental zone for relaxation and a children’s educational area. In the aromatherapy garden and the ornamental zone for relaxation, you can enjoy a wide range of herbs and ornamental plants as you walk through the garden or sit on a shaded bench on our wheelchair-access terrace.

Park of Strážnice Chateau

SOUTH MORAVIA

The chateau park contains extensive groups of trees and areas of grass and water. It was created in the first half of the 19th century by Franz Anton, Count Magnis (1777–1848), who transformed the original pheasantry to take on the spirit of the English landscaping tradition. An outstanding avenue of plane trees, with some rare trees and remnants of earlier compositional and functional elements, forms part of the area around the chateau building, the grounds of the entrance, Black Gate and the Zámek amphitheatre. SOUTH MORAVIA

The chateau park is composed of two compositionally discrete but interconnected parts. In front of the chateau’s main garden façade is a formal French-style parterre with three pools with fountains. It is connected with a natural landscaped part containing many rare trees and a Chinese wooden summerhouse. There are several Baroque sandstone statues (most the work of Giovanni Giuliani) in various places in the park. Part of the chateau park is used as a six-hole golf course. Visitors to the park who wish to spend the day actively

Renaissance chateau Greillenstein

LOWER AUSTRIA

The castle was surrounded by gardens from the very beginning. The bloom occurred in the 18th century when the park and garden were rebuilt in the Baroque style. The impressive tree classes, balustrades, and sandstone dwarfs come from this period. Today, this garden is full of botanical treasures peculiarities for connoisseurs.
