Milotice Chateau

SOUTH MORAVIA

These remarkably well-preserved formal French Baroque gardens are in perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape. The harmony is supplemented with pheasants, rose beds and orangeries with an exhibition of Moravian Baroque sculpture with floral decoration. In the heat of summer, shade-giving bowers provide pleasant seating with a view of the gardens. There is a view of a forest park from the north side. The landscaped park has a connection with Freemasonry. Together with the landscaped parks at Dolní Rožínka, Vranov, Pern&scaron

The garden is situated in an inner courtyard in the Černá Pole residential quarter, about 15 minutes’ walk from Brno city centre. Until 1938, the garden of the villa reached from Drobného street (then Sadová/ Parkstrasse) to Černopolní street. The oldest structure in the garden is the walled customs house, which served for the clearance of food products. At the beginning of

Stiassni Villa

SOUTH MORAVIA

One of the largest private gardens in Brno, its creation was simultaneous with the construction of the villa set within it (1927–1929). Thanks to its situation, it has splendid views of the surrounding hilly landscape. Even in its early years, the garden contained a swimming pool, a tennis court and heated greenhouses.
