The gardens are part of ecological and close to nature. naturally retained green space that surrounds buildings. This includes, in addition to 15 fenced gardens, a pond, marshy area, forest, orchards, vineyards, a biblical garden, a cemetery and a 1,000 m² large flower bed outside the open-air museum. The plants are grown in a horticultural way belonging to the museum in a biologically traditional way and the green area is treated biologically according to the criteria of the “Natur im Garten” .
