Zámek Slavkov-Austerlitz
The chateau park is composed of two compositionally discrete but interconnected parts. In front of the chateau’s main garden façade is a formal French-style parterre with three pools with fountains. It is connected with a natural landscaped part containing many rare trees and a Chinese wooden summerhouse. There are several Baroque sandstone statues (most the work of Giovanni Giuliani) in various places in the park.
Part of the chateau park is used as a six-hole golf course. Visitors to the park who wish to spend the day actively but have forgotten their sports gear, need not despair. Sports equipment can be hired at the information centre for a fee of 20 CZK.
